Can you tell us about your new mixtape "Nothing Risked Nothing Gained" and the background and inspirations behind it?
My new mixtape is called "Nothing Risked Nothing Gained" hosted by DJ Doitall. This mixtape is a collection of freestyles to current industry beats and records that I've done with local up and coming artist from throughout NJ,PA,NYC. The 1st single is called "My life" feat RnB new comer Nino Breeze. This track was produced by Beastleague Production out of Jersey City, NJ.
I just finished th video for the single shot by Itchyhouse films out of Newark Nj. This song is very special to me, its about me basically reaching out to a lil boy, that looks up to me. He's going down the wrong road due to not having a father in his life. I use to date his mother, but that's no longer the case, and he's cutting school, try to mimmick the life of a rapper (which is me). His mother calls me to go and find him due to receiving a call from her son's school. She can't continue to leave work for this problem. So I bail her out, find the boy and take him on a long ride explaining things that I've done in the streets and what the rap game really has to offer. He see's my vision and once he returns to school he realizes he should stay focused on his education. How have you ended up in the music industry?
Growing up in trenton, nj, I was influenced by Poor riteous Teachers, being that they were from my hood I was inspired when I saw them on B.e.t. and mtv, I use to practice my little rhymes to my brothers who thought I was so corny but at 10 years old I kept writing and practicing until kids in my elementary school would want me to rap at recess and the girls thought I was so cool then. After that I was hooked. This was my calling.
