Urban Vault caught up with UK emcee Chase Taylor to ask him some questions about his music, inspirations & collaborations...

Chase Taylor is an Artist from London UK, with a DJ and production Background, he has Written, recorded and promoted his first 2 Mixtapes himself. His style is a reflection of himself, there are times he chooses to talk about what he feel needs to be said in the world today!! and then there are sometimes he get as loud and comical.

Can you tell us about your new song/album, the background and
inspirations behind it?
The So Far Ep and new Ep, are inspired by convocations and debates I've had with family, friends and new people I meet. it inspires me when someone presents me a new way of looking at things, when my views are challenged and opens my mind to a new perspective.
How have you ended up in the music industry?
I didn't know I was mate!! lol Thanks for telling me!!
Well, I'm here, coz I put myself here!! I can't see myself doing anything else, coz making music seems to be the only thing I am happy in doing.
What do you think of the music industry in 2012?
2012 is too fresh to make a good judgement on the whole year. I would say 2012 is great if you got something decent to say! i'm looking forward to the new creative sounds. it will be good to bring back the feel of good old-skool music incorporated with the new sounds.
Who inspires you when you make your music?
Everyone and everything I've come in to contact with between the last time I have recorded and the very moment I hit record. like new perspectives that give me an insight to views things differently.
Who have you collaborated with so far in your Career?
A long list of people… The guys I started making beats with in college. Mainly-
Adi form Buyoz musik, Richard Lionhart, Hazle form Jahgos Odyssey, Truck and Riffioso.
I got my production group called Peppersource. My family Marvin Ambrosius and Beckwith have always helped me out on my tracks. You may not know all of them, but you will one day!! lol
Who would you like to collaborate with in the future?
We all have our dream collaborations, but really all of the above working on bigger projects and anyone that has the same views and directions as myself.

Busta Rhymes, when Disaster Strikes!!
Whats your favorite song at the moment?
WINNERS ONLY!!!LOL……
but really all freemason and devil worship crap aside!!

If you had to sell your music collection tomorrow, what album
would you leave in your draw?
None. I'd shot the lot and get paid, coz my cd collection is on my itunes!! haha!!
What do you think of TV music talent show competitions?
They do their job and entertain the viewers! The problem is that it diminishes the efforts of other artists that try to break in the music industry. TV music talent shows make it look like its easy to break in the music industry. it doesn't show how hard and how much effort you have to put in. it gives the viewing public the wrong impression of the profession.
What do you do when your not making music?
Trying to promote it!!
Whats your favourite Fashion brand?
I don't have a favourite, but Nike and Adidas has always found a way to brand me with their logo! And of course Urban Vault Apparel!!
Do you have any tattoos or piercings?
Naa!! Stud earrings back in the day, not now!!
How many pairs of trainers do you own?
I've had loads! I keep going through 'em!!!
How many hats do you own?
A few!! I'm keeping my old new eras tho!! I've had to buy all my old snapbacks back, and I'll be damned if I'm doing that again come another 10-15 years!! lol
Whats your favourite takeaway?
Chinese.
How many followers do you have on twitter?
not sure ya know!! small number 400 n something, most of my fan bace is on Facebook and youtube! Shouldn't say it, but I'm trying to get away from social networks. I feel out of touch from reality when I'm on 'em too much!!
