London born emcee J. Karma moved to Norwich at an early age and started recording around 2008. With a host of local acts all doing their thing, J. Karma knew it was time to unleash some of his music. Where are you from?
We'll I was born in London, but iv'e lived in Norwich most of my life.
How long have you been making music?
Only been recording music for the last few years.
How many songs /albums have you released to date?
Iv'e released two 18 track mixtapes in the last 2 years, and put out about another 10 individual tracks before that to kind of create a buzz in my city.
Can you tell us about your new song/album, the background and inspirations behind it?
My new mixtape is inspired by whats has been going on in my life over the past few years.
How have you ended up in the music industry?
I started out as a dnb mc years ago doing the clubs n that, and then my music career came to a sudden halt after a family death, and for a long time after that I couldn't focus properly on music or anything else at all! Then later, when I got myself together, I just wanted to record rap because that's where my heart really was. So that's how I ended up in the studio and putting mixtapes out.
What do you think of the music industry in 2012?
Well the U.K urban/rap/grime scene is really coming together now, so in my opinion its only gonna get better from now on for a long while.
Who inspires you when you make your music?
My main inspiration is life in general. Alot of the inspiration I get from U.K artists at the moment isn't necessarily from the records there making, it's mainly from their work-rate! i.e Ghetts, Wiley etc.
Who have you collaborated with so far in your Career?
Iv'e done tracks with Tommy Bones, Little Dee and producer Mrs Dark. As well as Reds, Dpf, Franko Fraize and Jammin Kane.
What was the first album u brought?
Extinction Level Event by Busta Rymes. I think??
What’s your favourite album at the moment?
Success Is Certain by Royce Da 5'9.
If you had to sell your music collection tomorrow, what album would you leave in your draw?
2pac - All Eyez On Me.

I don't watch them, but there O.K if that's your type of thing.
What do you do when you’re not making music?
Gym or Read.

I got one tattoo, no piercings.

15 at the very least.
