Ringspun - Military Collegiate Storms the Streets for AW 2010

Ringspun was founded in 1999 in Manchester by David Mallon, the brands Managing Director. The brand took its original inspiration from the music scene and the evolving icons within it.

Since its beginnings the brand has become renowned for creating classic garments bringing style to the streets of Britain.

From its humble beginnings in Manchester, Ringspun has evolved into to one of the UK’s most influential independent design labels, the brand continues to expand and advance, whilst maintaining that rare Northern spirit and inspiration.

This season sees the detail and mix of textures inspired from wartime and 1940s collegiate brought up to date with a Ringspun twist.

The collection takes inspiration from the age long traditions of the Frat House, College Football and University sects offering up a unique vintage feel to T-shirts and sweats. From battered textures with college inspired logo overlays through to over-dye military quilt jackets there’s something in the mix for the style savvy heroes of the streets in AW.

Moving from the cool, casual looks of American college T-shirts, the line transcends in to jackets and chunky knit wear. Featuring the classic retro letterman’s jacket (Wallcroft), complete with quilted grey body, contrasting sleeve colours and Ringspun emblem proudly emblazed on the chest, to the belted chunky knitted jacket (Columbia) providing style with a street edge.

The selection of winter coats combine a military feel with a modern take bringing you tailoring with style this season, including an offering of lightweight jackets to the classic trench and duffle coats in muted tones.
