Chilla Jones is a 23 year old lyrical phenom who began rapping when he was just 16. He terrorized the battle circuit across Boston for 3+ years before retiring to focus on his craft.

He was determined to better his creativity and songwriting skills through passion, dedication and repetition. After joining up with the southern production trio "The Trackslayerz" (T.I., Jim Jones, Young Joc), he has released 5 projects since his initial release entitled "Jones: The Mixtape", which was released in October 2007. Since, he has brought us "Freestyle Champ", "The Countdown", "Timebomb", and "23: The Mixtape". But his latest and greatest release thus far is his "Juggernaut" mixtape, which hit the internet early July 2010.

This project includes records such as "Beantown Bullshit" featuring Dre Robinson. A record where they address the politics of the Boston hip-hop scene over the Trackslayerz' thumping kicks and banging snares. It also includes the song "2012" featuring BR and rising star J the S (Formerly 'Jake the Snake'), where they describe how they would spend their last 2 years on Earth if they knew for sure the world would end in 2012. Another song of mention is the creepy and chilling collaboration with Slaine of La Coka Nostra fame called "Psycho", where they describe their demented and twisted thoughts with vivid lyricism over mysterious background vocals which truly set a dark, ominous mood.

The last song of mention is "Redemption", co-produced by LTM, a up and coming Beantown producer and Chilla Jones himself. On this song, he dives 100 bars deep into himself and into personal recent situations of importance, including a broken engagement and disputes with other Boston rappers, as well as reaffirming his position as the future of his city. The project in total has 24 tracks (and 1 bonus) and also includes plenty of freestyles that showcase his versatility and lyricism. This is definitely not a project to be slept on, and a must have for your collection of classic albums and mixtapes.
